The manifesto

There are things I only understood after living them.

I used to fill a silence as soon as it opened. Now I can sit in it. I used to put an evening of my own last. Now I make room for it. Some decisions took me years. One or two changed the direction of my life in an afternoon.

I remember who kept calling when we lived far apart. I remember being the one who called first. And I remember the first time I made a decision I could stand by without asking anyone to make it for me.

I would keep a watch for one of those things. I might give one to someone who remembers the same moment differently. Years later, on an ordinary day, I would look down and know exactly why I chose it.

What we do

A.R. Genève designs mechanical dress watches that give people a personal reason to mark time. We work within a recognisable dial composition and give each reference a different reason to be worn, given or kept.

What we’re building

To establish A.R. Genève as an independent watch house recognised for a design language collectors can identify at a glance and a collection they can connect to their own lives.
